Crispy, Neapolitan style pizza, the stuff dreams are made of

It was a snowy winter day in early 2023. My brother and I happened upon a food truck in Wells, Maine that someone told me about on Facebook. I went with the margherita and my brother ordered the mushroom pie.

If you can make a simple pizza taste amazing then there is nothing better in my opinion. A straight classic pizza margherita. The crust is light and crispy, the fresh mozz melts into the delicate tomatoes...a grating of fresh parm and the basil on top. This is culinary perfection from a chef that does it with style.

Try the pepperoni with hot honey if that's more your style. It's one of the best pies you will ever eat. The secret here is the crust. When you hear Neapolitan pizza that usually means floppy pizza that you are supposed to eat with a knife and fork or fold up. Not here.

Just look at that crust. It has the leoparding you want with dark spots and those air bubbles are delightful. It's truly pizza you will crave and beg chef Brandon to make over and over again.

Don't believe me? Go ahead and try it for yourself. https://www.truckinpizza.com/ and place an order depending on the season and hours. You can also ask Brandon to cater your wedding or special event.

The pizza is easy to eat the whole thing because it's so light. He also has a full menu including duck fat fries, fried brussels and many more pizzas. There are lobster rolls in the summer, too. To die for.

I'm all about the pizza though. The drizzle of EVOO on top at the end with the grated cheese. The fresh tomatoes. My goodness.

I can't say enough good things about this experience. Follow Truckin' pizza on instagram to see where they pop up in the summer time. You can find them at Wild Bevy Distilling the rest of the time. It's a great place to relax and get a drink if that's your thing. I'm all about the pizza, all the time, every time. It's worth driving, flying, boating or whatever you need to do to get there. I'd put this pizza up against any pie on earth. I'm spoiled it's 20 mins down the road...I neglected to mention the fact that Brandon, his wife and the staff are the nicest people I've met in my life. They treat me like family. That's how they'll treat you. Much love to the pizza and food truck community. Best, Jason
