It's more commonly known or closely related to Boston South Shore Bar pizza, but it's in Maine and the locals love it. Sanford, Maine is home to Paras pizza and it's a family run business that's overcome many hurdles. The original location burned down several years ago. The owner also died not too long ago, but his memory and pizza shop lives on.
The dough is homemade. The sauce and cheese ratios are perfect. The crust is crispy and light. The prices are well below what some other high-end pizza joints are charging these days. This place is legendary in southern Maine. I've got video reviews on my social media that go into more detail. Check them out:
The pizza is so good that my current #1 fan gets takeout for her family. 4 pizzas should cover it, right?
A perfect hearty meal for the whole Brackett family. I see sausage, pepperoni, hawaiian and cheese. What more could you ask for?
Go check out Paras pizza and maybe I'll see you there. It's well worth the short (or long) drive for this level of quality at a fair price. They've been feeding Mainers for decades and I hope that never changes.
Best, Jason
Paras Pizza is our favorite and I definitely have a little army to feed! Thank you for this write up of our favorite place and sharing my family. I have been going there since I was a little girl and now my kid’s get a chance to experience it! Maybe you could join us for pizza sometime!❤️
