The Secret Ingredients of a Memorable Family-Owned Pizzeria Experience

Sometimes in life things just feel right, like a hot pizza on a cold winter night in Maine. That's what you'll find at Gorham House of Pizza or "GHOP" as it's referred to by many.

Keep it simple. That's what Mom used to say. That's what my Dad still says. It's the secret ingredient to life and pizza at GHOP. The crust is light, full of flavor and crunchy. The cheese is ooey-gooey and stretches so well. The sauce is not overly sweet, but a perfect portion size.

Just look at that slice of pizza. You're telling me you aren't craving pizza on this cold night? The wind was whistling as I walked down the street and opened the door to the restaurant. I was greeted warmly and promptly as I came up to the counter. I asked if the mushrooms were fresh and the server said, "yes." Boy were they ever. Melting in my mouth with the perfect cheese to sauce ratio and crunch of the pizza. Delightful.

I will be back whenever I'm in town or just want to take a ride out of Portland on my dinner break. It's worth it for the friendly and kind staff. I promise there won't be any leftovers.
